Sep 21, 2010 Stuck the drive in my Mac Pro, grabbed the stuff I need to save and sent the entire CPU back to the manufacturer for a re-imaging. They have to make sure all the software will operate the robotics, etc, so it's a bit more than just a re-ghosting. MSI designs and creates top-tier gaming gear for gamers. Follow up Hi i don't know if you have solved your problem yet but I just received a keystation Pro 88 and linked it to my Macbook (leopard installed over Tiger) with Garageband 3.0.5. Keystation pro 88 drivers for mac. I wish I could provide more info, but in any case the keyboard seems to work with a clean install of Leopard with no third-party drivers. When GarageBand is running, if I turn the keyboard on it says 'the number of MIDI inputs has changed'. I connected with USB and just followed instruction in Quick start. Hi, I have a K9NBPM2-FID, and everything is working fine. I just got a new Antec external enclosure for a 500GB Seagate drive, which has both USB2 and e-sata interfaces. This works fine with the USB2 interface, but I wanted to try the e-sata. The enclosure came with a e-sata bracket, so I installed that, and plugged the cable from the bracket into one of the SATA connectors on the K9NBPM2-FID, and connected the e-sata interface on the Antec enclosure to the connector on the e-sata bracket. That seems to work fine. I powered the machine on, and I could see the 500GB drive again, and ran HDTach, and am getting ~130MBps burst. • Refurbished: This means the product was tested and repaired as required to meet the standards of the refurbisher, which may or may not be the original manufacturer. When the bus power (through the USB port on the computer) fails to meet the power requirements of the USB devices, plugging the power adapter to external power will ensure your USB devices work properly. The following guidelines apply to all product categories unless otherwise indicated within specific categories. • New: This means the product will ship as received by the manufacturer, sealed, with all advertised components, and with the manufacturer warranty. I was expecting that the 500GB drive would appear in the 'Safe to remove' icon in Systray, but it did not. Some other USB2 drives I had did. So, I checked the Device Manager, and it looks like I am still using the Microsoft IDE, etc. Drivers, instead of NVidia specific ones. It's been a few weeks since I first did the install, and I know I had to install the network driver from the CD, but I don't remember specifically installing any IDE drivers. So, here's the questions: 1) Should I install some specific NVidia drivers for the IDE controller? Windows needs over 2 floppies worth of device recognition tables just to cover figuring out which device is there, and that still covers only a large percentage of possible devices, not all future things someone may create after you installed your OS. So we know DOS can access something through USB, but that does not add instant support for every USB thing that comes along. Ms dos 6.22 mouse drivers for mac. MAC has had this agreement for years and the MAC world is happy to realize the manufacturer's CD must touch the box to transfer knowledge of the new device. M¢ still leaves the device manufacturer responsible for making drivers and relaying those table entries and drivers to M¢ for the next revision of updates, and does not promise they'll hit the older OS. And, if so, where can I get them? 2) If I did have the NVidia-specific IDE Drivers, would that make my e-sata drive show up in the 'Safe to Remove', and could I then remove the drive while the machine is powered on? Thanks in advance, Jim. Bas, I was just looking at that, but it says: This Win2K/XP/WinXP 64-bit nForce 2.01.01 driver package consists of the following components: Ethernet Driver (v54.05) 'WHQL' Network Management Tools (v54.05) SMBus Driver (v4.57) 'WHQL' Installer (v5.19) Win2K IDE SataRAID Driver (v7.14) 'WHQL' Win2K RAIDTool Application (v7.14) Display Driver (v86.23) 'WHQL' TPM Audio 'WHQL' It doesn't mention anything about IDE driver, unless that 'IDE SataRAID' driver is the one that I need? Also, do you know if that IS it, will that make the e-sata drive removable? Thanks for the quick response. ![]() Hi, Well, I was able to install the NVidia SATA driver by downloading and expanding the 410/430 driver set from NVidia, then installing the drivers in the 'SATA-IDE' directory. Now, in Device Manager, I see an additional 'NVIDIA nForce 430/410 Serial ATA Controller' line. But, the e-sata drive still doesn't show up in the System 'Remove'. Here's an oddity: After the installation, the e-sata drive temperature is now visible in SpeedFan, whereas it wasn't before that. I'll probably keep things this way, and if it's stable, leave it. Canon Printer Drivers For Mac![]() Otherwise, I'll restore the image that I took before this 'experiment'. If anyone has any idea how to make that e-sata drive removable, please post. Hi, To close this subject: I opened a case with MSI and asked them if this mobo supports hot-swap, and they said that this chipset doesn't, so I guess that concludes that. I *am* glad that I installed the SATA-IDE driver though, because, especially with the 500GB drive in an external enclosure, it's a bit more comfortable being able to monitor the drive temperature in the enclosure. I hope that everyone here, esp. Hp Drivers For MacThe regulars like Bas, Bosskiller, et al, have a great Christmas and New Year. May it bring many more goodies, and not so many problems!! Hi, I need to correct my last post, and report that I WAS just able to get the E-sata drive to be hot-pluggable/swappable with this mobo. I'm NOT QUITE sure exactly what I did that made it work, but here's what I remember: - I restored the system image to my original image, which had the MS IDE drivers only - I downloaded '8.26_11.09_nforce_winxp_english.exe' from the NVidia website, and I ran it. - This created a 'C: NVIDIA' directory, and in particular, 'C: NVIDIA nForceWinXP 11.09 MCP51 IDE WinXP sata_ide' - In that directory, there's an 'nvata.inf' file, so I right-clicked on that, then selected 'Install'. - I rebooted the system (a couple of times).
